Enhanced Accident Insurance
Accidental insurance, also known as personal accident insurance or supplemental accident insurance, is a type of insurance policy that pays out cash benefits directly to you for accidental injuries or death caused by an accident. It's typically purchased in addition to a primary health insurance plan to help cover costs that aren't fully covered by medical insurance; however, it also pays in addition to your health plan.
Accident insurance can help pay for a variety of expenses, including:
- Out of pocket expenses (locally or while traveling)
- Ambulance care
- Physical therapy
- Imaging
- Medical equipment
- Accidental death
- Dismemberment
- Among many other benefits
Accident insurance typically doesn't cover negligence, acts of God, or natural disasters.
Disclosure: Coverage is subject and limited to plan options selected as described in the policy packet.
